With the holiday season finally here, it’s more important than ever that you get good sleep night after night. If you wake up every day in your Louisville apartments feeling like you could use another couple hours of sleep, you’re going to have a bad time at those holiday parties and happy hours. We want to help our residents be the best versions of themselves, which is why we decided to write this week’s blog about healthy sleeping habits.
In the post below, we’ll be sharing three tips that you can use to get a better night’s sleep night after night in your luxury apartment. We made our apartments as comfortable as possible, but there’s more to sleep than laying down in a comfortable living space. We’ll tell you what we mean in the blog post below.
Let’s dive right into this week’s blog, shall we? When you’re done reading through the blog post below, please feel free to share it with your friends. Better yet, go ahead and share it with your neighbors at your community of apartments in Louisville, KY!
Get used to cold showers
Your body has to do a lot before it can fall asleep. For starters, it has to cool down it’s internal temperature. That’s why it’s so hard to fall asleep in a hot room, and so much easier to fall asleep when your A/C is cranked all the way up. If you want to cool your body down quicker, try taking a cold shower. The cold water will take some getting used to, but it’ll be worth it when you’re falling asleep in a matter of minutes.
Cover up the little lights
Next time you turn off all the lights in your bedroom, look around and see if there are any light sources lingering around. We’re talking about the little LED lights on your power strips, your laptop charger and possibly your TV. These lights be small, but they can have a big impact on your quality of sleep. Cover them up with blankets or pillows next time you go to bed and see if you don’t feel more rested when you wake up in the morning.
Put your phone out of reach
It’s hard to fall asleep quickly after staring at a screen. That’s why going on your phone doesn’t help you fall asleep any faster. To avoid the temptation, try putting your phone somewhere where you can’t reach it while you’re lying in bed. This will also help you get up in the morning right when your alarm goes off, as you’ll have to actually get out of bed in order to turn it off.
